Q1. What size chandelier is suitable for a dining room?
A good dining room chandelier should usually be proportionate to the dining table and room size. For most homes, choose a chandelier that is visually wide enough to anchor the table without extending beyond its edges. For larger dining rooms or landed homes, a wider statement chandelier can create stronger impact.
Q2. How high should a dining room chandelier hang above the table?
As a general design guideline, the bottom of the chandelier should hang comfortably above eye level when seated, while still feeling connected to the dining table. Ceiling height, chandelier size and table height should all be considered before installation.
Q3. Are chandeliers suitable for Singapore condos and apartments?
Yes. Many Singapore condos can use compact or low-profile chandeliers, especially above dining tables. For lower ceilings, choose slimmer modern chandeliers or linear chandelier designs rather than very tall hanging styles.
